6 Photos From Birthday Girl Brooks Nader’s SI Swim Photo Shoot in the Dominican Republic

Brooks Nader is an SI Swimsuit stalwart. The Swim Search alumna, who won the open casting call in 2019, has been featured in every issue since. Like the magazine’s editor in chief MJ Day said, the 2023 cover girl has “represented this brand with every ounce of [her] soul.”

The Louisiana native, who turns 27 today, is also a DIBS beauty investor, and has traveled to the Bahamas, Bali, Hollywood, Fla., Montenegro and the Dominican Republic with the brand. Each and every time she steps in front of the camera, Nader never fails to amaze.

“When I decided to stand in that line in Miami for SI Swim Search with a chance to be in the 2019 issue, I was so nervous, I was doubting myself, I was feeling insecure,” Nader reflected in 2021. “Sports Illustrated literally launched me, launched my career, made other people realize that everything is accepted, everything is O.K., it’s O.K. to be you, and this is the only shoot that I’m literally never nervous for, I’m just excited for, so I feel like that speaks volumes about the team, the experience, like the whole vibe of SI Swimsuit and I’m so lucky to be a part of this family.”

Last year, Nader fulfilled her lifelong dream of landing on the front of an SI Swimsuit Issue following her feature in the Dominican Republic. She donned a gorgeous Baywatch-inspired red one-piece and power posed, proving that she has truly impeccable modeling skills and is well-deserving of her exciting cover girl moment.
